The author of the self-help guide entitled, “Learning To Play The Game” (A Tiny Little Book With BIG Information) is also the driving force behind The Back Porch Magazine and the not for profit organization, “Girls Run The World - Grandmas Rule The World”. (GRTWx2)This is a movement to give grandmas’ the tools to follow their dreams and change their lives and the lives of their families.
In 2013 she debuted as a director on the music video, “You And I, Together” for IFGAM Records featuring Legendary Blues artist Theodis Ealey feat. Lacee. That same year she and Ealey received two awards from the album, “You And I, Together”. The 2013 Jus Blues Award for Male Performance, “Best Blues And Soul Song,” for “Theodis What’s Up” and The 2013 Blues Critic Award “Best Soul Blues Album” which included two songs, “Theodis What’s Up” and “Number One Baby”, written by her. Another song on the album, she contributed to was “The Last Time”.
Today, she is currently working on her first stage play, “A Song for Vicky”. She has joined MFG (Mitch Faulkner Group) as a producer of the segment, The Back Porch Mag, with Nikolicious on Soul Blues Live, a syndicated radio show hosted by the 2018 Radio Hall-A-Fame inductee Mitch Faulkner and his co-host Cookie Wright, Atlanta’s own 1st Falconette.
She is a contributing writer to D.I.R.M. Corp and her blog, The Back Porch Mag.com. The over twenty year cancer survivor, wife, supportive mother, sister, aunt, niece, author, writer, producer, and an awesome “Nah Nah” (grandmother) isn’t just talking about what she’d like to do these days, she’s doing it!
